Maintain and repair facilities, equipment by performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled carpentry, electrical, painting, heating and air conditioning, and mechanical repair work, install, adjust, repair and inspect heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment including forced air furnaces, water pumps, chillers and air conditioning units, exhaust fans, air filters, compressors, cooling towers and heat exchangers, repair and replace plumbing fixtures including sinks, faucets and pipes; clear obstructions from water and sewer lines. Perform journey level carpentry work including the construction, installation, remodeling and repairing of cabinet, partitions, walls, windows, doors, roofs, foundatings , and other carpentry work. Inspect facilities to identify the needs of the facility. Install, maintain and repair a variety of floor coverings such as carpenting such as, tiles, linoleum and wood, and roof covering such as composition, rolled and shingle, operated, maintain and repair a variety of mechanical tools and equipment such as power saws, power sanders, drills, air compressors, paint sprayers, sewer augers, and various hand tools required for carpentry, plumbing and maintenance skills, repair and maintain electrical lighting system and fixtures, monitor and maintain preventative maintenance records and logs. Perform repair and preventative maintenance on facility’s structural components, grounds and equipment. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
